The night guardian gave us the keys for another room and assured us that bedbugs had never been seen in the hotel (sure...). No restaurant but an adequate breakfast room in the basement. All of the island's scenic attractions are within easy walking distance and the staff are friendly. Needless to say, however, the whole experience was ruined, because we spent the whole night awake and feeling itchy. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was a decent size, the bathroom was on the smaller size but it was fine for what we needed it for.

Both my girlfriend and I have had previous experiences with such pests, and she is very allergic to them, so we spent the night with the lights on: bedbugs are nocturnal; they do not go out and "feed" if they see lights on in the room.
