Chris Sievey's life was a subversive piece of performance art. If you can't get enough of Frank then I encourage you to read the book, "Frank Sidebottom, Out of His Head" for some more details on what the movie covers. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen and have found my newest obsession. Must watch!
Fan or not, a wonderful documentary.
I'm sure they celebrate this film in spite of hardships a life linked to such surely is hand in hand with.
Great visual account of Chris Sievey's remarkable life. :) Sorry. If you've seen the movie Frank released a few years ago then the big paper mache head will not seem all that new, but with this (original) man the story is so much deeper and more interesting.

That said the film is about Chris who we knew nothing of in America. An amazing collection of clips from personal archives of the amazing and tragic Chris Sievey and his alternative persona, Frank Sidebottom That kind of smart, nuanced funny that makes this movie an interesting and funny tale without having to go for the sophomoric laughs.
I put this down to having been a soft, southern, snob in the past. Frank was Chris with a certain bulbous paper mâché head.
Jim Gaffigan is a talented individual, he shows emotion and could probably portray any character, he's that good.
Which, btw, I enjoy those, too - but this goes for the smart laughs.
