Now I have to find something else as I went through this in record time ! Please try againSorry, we failed to record your vote. The ending is a real twist and, for me, quite a shock. This was such a mashup of the best and worst of murder who-done-it's! So they never knew who would be next in this slasher action fest. So eipsode by eipsode your guessing who the killer is, is it someone in the wedding party or someone already on the island carrying out the whole saga again. My favourite characters are Cal and chole they are mood lighters of the whole event give it a go it worth a look enjoyable tv series. A cross between a murder/mystery & horror. Please try again I watched this whole series on TV and loved it the show tells the story of Abbey Millls who returns to a island where her mother and others were murdred years ago she comes back to the island to witness her best friend Henry's wedding but things start going wrong quickly grizzy goings on behind the scenes of the wedding party soon come to light bodies pile up. Quite campy and chock full of those pat phrases such as "Be careful," and "Don't go out there," etc. Its set on Harper's Island, where a copy cat killer is murdering everyone on the Island, in grisly ways, without the gory excess of the TV series Slasher. I’m not even embarrassed to admit it! A good twist at the end that makes you glad they only did 13 episodes and didn't stretch it out for three series (or ten) like other shows. Abby hasn't been home in seven years, since her mother and five others were murdered by John Wakefield. As the wedding party embarks on a scavenger hunt, Trish confronts an old flame, Henry makes peace with some locals and Abby runs into a friend who is haunted by John Wakefield and the island's tragic past. When a local girl's death is ruled a suicide, Abby challenges her father, the Sheriff, to investigate what really happened As the wedding approaches, Trish must come to a decision about Hunter. The groomsmen take Henry fishing for his bachelor party and make a gruesome discovery. Harper's Island, the guiltiest pleasure of the 2009 summer TV season, is part Agatha Christie and part Friday the 13th. The answer is this excellent series, on which I was hooked from part 1. People experiencing the most atrocious experiences, yet, next minute are smiling and partying as if nothing happened.
For someone who has found thrillers and mysteries a little too formulaic in recent times it was interesting to see that formula turned into something that I didn't see coming. Although, I did see potential for another season to show the events that happened before, but I'm okay with the one season. Even after watching for the fifth time there are no real pointers towards who is doing it. Please try againSorry, we failed to record your vote. It has it's flaws, but I think of it as a guilty pleasure and the first of its kind. Bought this because I watched this on tv, missed few espiodes . I truly enjoyed the way we watched the layers of civility and urbane sophistication be stripped away to the basic need to survive - whatever the cost and those who surprised with their strength and those who collapsed under the strain. People who die, one by one, but no one misses them and they go on with their lives as if they've never existed.
Great series set on an island where a group of friends come together to attend a wedding. At times simultaneously laugh-out-loud ridiculous and shocking (most inventive, ingenious and revolting means by which people are dispatched, including setups that made me think of Rube Goldberg,) it must use every Agatha Christie murder mystery trope somewhere. The story is terrific sort of take on Agatha Christie's And then there were none.
The group retreats to a hideaway where a secret is revealed that leaves the group reeling. After being rocked by more deaths and the disappearance of another friend, the group fights back and is more determined than ever to track down the island's killer.Eight out of the original 25 suspects strive to be one of the few survivors as all answers are revealed.Eight out of the original 25 suspects strive to be one of the few survivors as all answers are revealed.

I’m not even embarrassed to admit it! Please try againSorry, we failed to record your vote. The first time I watched it on TV it was a whodunnit of changing suspects and victims. I can't say much about the story except that the episode titles carry a description of the deaths that happen in them, Thwack, Gurgle and Seep to name a few. It keeps you on the edge of your seat for the entire season of 13 episodes, has such an in depth storyline and keeps you constantly guessing - who is the killer? I really enjoyed this series, even though I watched half of it from behind my hands. Thought it was actually good. This is awesome. Excellent, fast-paced mini-series which keeps you guessing until the end.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 21, 2015 Quite campy and chock full of those pat phrases such as "Be careful," and "Don't go out there," etc. Amazon calculates a product’s star ratings based on a machine learned model instead of a raw data average.
I had a great time .. didn't binge watch, but close.
