I thought sweet mother of divine, this is amazing.The new reality star, who is currently based in London working for a publishing company, added she felt proud that she was flying the flag for Ireland.“It was a long process in terms of interviews because as you can imagine, they were casting from all over the world.“It wasn’t just the UK and Ireland it was from all over.“And being the only Irish person there, it just felt nice to fly the flag for back home.”Looking back at what could have been had she gone through with the previous two ITV shows lined up in the past, Nicole said she is a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.But counting herself lucky for bagging a major spot on the global streaming site, she said she has been mentally preparring herself for the widespread reaction to the show.Having had a full year since shooting the show last April to reflect, she said: “Of course, I’m very nervous as well.“Because they were filming 24 hours of the day and anything I could have said, anything I could have done, you over analyse everything.”“And the fact it was so long ago your mind runs wild and you are making up scenarios in your head, but you need to remember that no matter what happens everyone will inevitably get hate.“No matter if you were the nicest person on the planet somebody would nit pick so there are just nerves about things like that but I am very thick skinned.“I have great support networks around me, my friends and family and the people from the show,so it is more exciting than nerves.“But there is an element of nerves because I am going from being a regular Cork girl to this Netflix person basically.“I’ve mentally prepared myself I think because we had this whole time waiting for it to come out.“I know with Love Island you go straight in and instantly you are a public figure.
