An unexpected celebration brings everyone together.The Bennetts return to the ranch. One of Masterson's accusers filed a police report as early as 2004 regarding an incident in 2003, but no charges were ever filed. Mary checks into rehab.Abby invites Colt out for a birthday dinner ... which might be a date. Running out of options, Colt reaches out to Lisa Neumann. And a second new arrival keeps the Bennetts on their toes.While Abby's in Denver teaching, Colt works to rebuild the Peterson ranch. Beau gets a business proposition from Neumann's Hill. Beau warms to the idea of mending fences with Maggie.Colt figures out what he wants from Heather. Rooster enjoyed many of the same vices as his brother, namely drinking and women (in addition to smoking marijuana) and had a light-hearted approach to relationships, much like his brother. Colt and Abby fight about their future.Fed up with the boys, Beau draws a line in the sand. Meanwhile, Colt lashes out at Maggie.Beau leaves the boys hanging about the Peterson ranch. “Please support this great show we spent years putting together. The older brother to Ashton Kutcher's Colt last appeared in the finale of the first half of Season 3 (aka Part 5), and in the start of Part 6, he is presumed dead. Abby and Colt follow a lead. Colt and Heather have a heart-to-heart about their loss.Wondering if he's ready to marry Abby, Colt seeks romantic advice from an unlikely source: Beau. A sick calf gives Beau an excuse to avoid dealing with his feelings -- and creates some unexpected bonds.The ranch's dwindling finances drive a wedge between Beau and the boys, and Colt goes behind his father's back to ask Maggie for help.Heather sets up Rooster with her sister, but Colt's afraid he'll ruin a good thing. Armed with a new perspective, Beau surprises Joanne.Colt finally wins back Abby's trust -- but he's afraid to tell her he knows who killed Nick.

Viewers will have to wait until Part 8 drops in 2020 to find out what happened. A drunken night leads to an awkward morning after for Mary.Beau issues Luke an ultimatum. Colt is frequently the butt of their jokes, particularly when it comes to his ranching … Mary's downward spiral continues.Colt asks Abby to lie to the police. And when Luke bails on work, Colt has to miss Peyton's baptism.In the series finale, Luke opens up about his struggles, Maggie throws one last Christmas party at the bar, and Colt gives Beau a heartwarming gift.Being a pro athlete didn't pan out for Colt. In the final scene, Nick arrives home to his trailer, says, "What are you doing here?" As Colt tries to prove himself to Abby, Luke makes him an offer -- but Mary drives a wedge between them.Colt struggles to reconcile with Abby while Beau and Joanne grapple with the challenges of getting older. The cast is beyond incredible. And so, Rooster take the duffel bag and leaves, as Alice in Chains’ “Rooster” plays him out.
